San Fernando Valley Youth Organization

SFVYO

The San Fernando Valley Youth Organization (SFVYO) is an activist organization working to build the leadership capacity of young people. It our firm belief that the only way to bring about true change is to provide our young people with the tools they need to make it happen. By encouraging social activism among San Fernando Valley youth, the youth organization develops strategies designed to reduce and prevent the abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs (ATOD).

The Youth Organization is a volunteer group of youth, from throughout the San Fernando Valley, who committed to making a difference. One of SFVYO’S most notable annual activities is the Youth Summit. The Youth Summit is a day-long conference that is designed by youth for youth and addresses issues facing young people. The summit is a day-long event held at California State University Northridge, where youth learn new skills and participate in educational workshops facilitated by their peers.
